Toastmaster
of the Year
Congratulations
to Toastmaster of the Year Randy Haukom.
Randy Haukom had a terrific year in Toastmasters and
was recognized as the Toastmaster of the year for our club and also for
our area of clubs. While picking up accolades in our club for
attendance, providing excellent speech evaluations, and giving the most
speeches, Randy was also voted as most helpful. This stems from the
stellar support he provided to all of us while serving as the club
VP-Education. He also served as acting club President while Becky was
on Maternity leave. His speaking earned him a second Competent
Communicator award as well as the Advanced Communicator Bronze. That's
twenty speeches right there. Plus he picked up a Competent Leader
award. And if that wasn't enough, he was traveling all over the
district to help other clubs get started. Congratulations Randy, you've
helped us all become better Toastmasters and you were an inspiration.
Thank you. We look forward to your service as club VP-Public Relations
and as our Area Governor as well.
We presented the following awards, based on tallies
through the year (e.g. for attendance and word of the day usage) and
votes from the club membership (e.g. for Most Helpful and Toastmaster
of the Year). Congratulations to all the winners. And congratulations
to HealthToasters for making President’s Distinguished for the third
year in a row!

We had a New Year's Eve party on June 25, our last meeting for the
Toastmaster year from July through June. Becky Osland served as master
of ceremonies and handed out the prizes. Duane learned to take pictures
without the flash to preserve Becky's eyesight.
