TOASTMASTER AWARDS:
Debi
Allsup On our club's first speech of the toastmaster year, Debi
Allsup completes an advanced
speech manual to achieve the ACG,
Advanced Communicator - Gold.

Becky
Osland From our club's second speech of the toastmaster year,
Becky Osland is honored for
achieving DTM, Distinguished Toastmaster, July
2, 2007. Ryan Hove, our club's recent DTM recipient, surprised Becky at
the end of his speech about the Toastmaster leadership tracks by
recognizing that Becky's completed service as an Area Governor has
earned her the DTM.
Ed
Burke With the inspiring speech project #10, Ed Burke completes
the first manual in the
communication track to achieve the CC,
Competent Communicator
award. November 26, 2007.
Duane
Noto Completing the Speaking to Inform and Speeches by
Management advanced manuals, Duane earned his ACB ,
Advanced Communicator Bronze award. April 28, 2008.
Ryan
Hove Working through the manuals again after receiving his DTM
last year, Ryan finished the requirements for the CL, Competent
Leader award, when he served as toastmaster for the club
international speech contest. April 14, 2008.
Ed
Burke Ed earned the CL,
Competent Leader award, when he
served as chair for the spring club speech contests and used this to
promote HealthToasters within the 8170 building. April 14, 2008.
Shelly
Kramer Shelly earned the CC,
Competent Communicator award,
when she gave the persuasive speech "Winging it for the Way." Along the
way, Shelly gave nine speeches at HealthToasters and the winning speech
at "Just Another Speech Contest" in June 2007. June 16, 2008.
CLUB AWARDS:
Newsletter
Our club won first place in the District 6 competition for Best
Newsletter. VP - Public Relations and newsletter editor Randy Haukom
picked up the award on behalf of the club at the spring convention.
Website
Our club won second place for Best Website in District 6. Club
president and webmaster Duane Noto accepted the award on behalf of the
club at the spring convention.
President's
Distinguished HealthToasters has completed nine of the ten
goals in the Distinguished Club Plan, earning President's Distinguished
status for the 2007-2008 Toastmasters year.

Haukom participated in a Toastmaster District 6 demonstration of a
Toastmasters meeting at Brown College, Brooklyn Center. Randy presented the speech "Going to Diseyland ". (CC #2, Organize Your

Duane Noto presented
an education session at the District 6 Fall Conference at Ruttger’s
Sugar Lake Lodge in Grand
Rapids, MN, along with Jackie Doehling of the
Discovery Toastmasters club. They also offered an afternoon workshop to
help clubs set up Freetoasthost web sites. The presentation title was
"Want a Club Website? - Make it Happen with FreeToastHost". Handout available in public downloads.
