What is FreeToastHost?
Free Toast Host is a Free
opportunity for any Toastmasters
club to have their own website hosted
as a
service sponsored by Toastmasters International.
Yes, absolutely Free! All
you have to do is ask.
FreeToastHost websites are available to any club that is registered
with Toastmasters International. Besides the fact it is free, some
other reasons you would want to do this include:
- You get your very own website (critical to your PR efforts!)
- You will have an administrator's password to log on and make your
own decisions on what should appear as content for your pages
- You will have the option to choose additional features designed
specifically for a Toastmasters club
- Your members (once you add them) will have their own logon and
password for access to members-exclusive areas of your site
How does my club get their own site?
Visit the main website, http://www.freetoasthost.org/
and select the link to Request Your Free Site. Enter your club number,
name, and contact information. Once your request is submitted, a
generic site will be built just for you. You will get an email
when it is ready with instructions on how to log in.
What's in it for me?
- Unique internet website address where you can promote your club
and attract new members by describing your unique club culture
- Easy to use navigation for your visitors to select pages about
your club's directions, membership information, and contact info etc
- Ability to add calendar entries and answers to your Frequently
Asked Questions.
- Ability to add documents for distribution and viewing through
your website, such as templates or newsletters.
- Private members-only features include an email distribution list
for consistent communication, document repository, discussion forums.
- A duty-roster that can be used to establish your meeting agenda
and roles.
Where can I find out more information about
why I might choose this
option for a website?
- Browse through the Frequently Asked Questions, via the link from
the main page of http://www.freetoasthost.org/
- View the audio/video slide show to walk you through the process
of requesting a site and getting started building your content and
membership roster. (this is offered within the Technical Support
Area from a link to Featured A/V Presentations -A
Professional Club Website in Less Than 1 Hour
- Visit other FreeToastHost websites to get the flavor for what you
can do. Our district 6 find-a-club listing
has several examples.
